Cookie Policy

Last updated: May 2026  ·  Version 2.0

Compliance scope. This Cookie Policy aligns with the EU ePrivacy Directive (as implemented by EU Member States), the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR and UK GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), other U.S. state privacy laws (including the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act), Canada's PIPEDA and Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), and Brazil's LGPD.

1. What are cookies and similar technologies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites function correctly, to improve efficiency, and to provide information to site owners. In addition to cookies, we may use related technologies such as:

  • Local storage and session storage. Browser-based key-value stores used to persist preferences (for example, theme settings or cookie consent decisions) without expiry dates tied to HTTP requests.
  • Pixel tags and web beacons. Small invisible images that help us track email opens and page visits.
  • SDKs and API calls. Used by third-party analytics and advertising partners embedded in our pages.
  • Fingerprinting (not used). We do not use device or browser fingerprinting techniques.

2. Who sets cookies on our site?

  • TAKUMI44 (first-party cookies) are placed directly by us to operate core site functionality.
  • Third-party providers (third-party cookies) are placed by analytics, marketing, and functionality partners embedded in our pages, where deployed. We contractually require third-party partners to comply with applicable privacy law and to use data only as described in this policy.

3. Forward-looking vendor list

We currently use, or may use in the future, the categories of cookies and similar technologies described in this policy. The specific third-party providers listed below reflect tools that are currently deployed on our site or that we plan to deploy. If a provider listed below is not yet deployed at the time you review this policy, no cookies from that provider will be set until deployment, and our consent management tool will continue to govern non-essential cookies. The most up-to-date list of active third-party providers is available through the consent management tool on our website.

5.3 Marketing and Advertising Cookies

These cookies are used (where deployed) to track visitors across websites and to present targeted, relevant advertisements on third-party platforms (such as LinkedIn and Meta). They may link activity across multiple sites and sessions. These cookies are only set with your explicit consent. If you are a California resident or a resident of another U.S. state with applicable opt-out rights, you may opt out of the use of these cookies as a “sale” or “sharing” or as targeted advertising under applicable state law.

6. Cookies we do not use

TAKUMI44 confirms that we do not use:

  • Device fingerprinting or canvas fingerprinting.
  • Supercookies or evercookies.
  • Cookies that track your activity across unrelated third-party websites without your consent.
  • Cookies designed to infer sensitive personal characteristics (such as health, race, religion, or political opinions).

7. Managing your cookie preferences

7.1 Our consent tool

You can review and change your cookie preferences at any time using our consent management tool. Changes take effect immediately. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of prior processing. Your consent choice is saved for 365 days.

7.2 Browser controls

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block cookies, delete existing cookies, and set preferences for specific websites. Disabling cookies may affect the functionality of the website. Browser-specific instructions:

  • Chrome. Settings, then Privacy and security, then Cookies and other site data.
  • Firefox. Settings, then Privacy and Security, then Cookies and Site Data.
  • Safari. Preferences, then Privacy, then Manage Website Data.
  • Edge. Settings, then Cookies and site permissions.

7.3 Opt-out of specific providers

  • Google Analytics. Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
  • Google personalized ads. Manage at adssettings.google.com.
  • Meta and Facebook. Manage at facebook.com/adpreferences.
  • LinkedIn. Manage at linkedin.com/psettings/guest-controls/retargeting-opt-out.
  • Network-level advertising opt-out (US). Digital Advertising Alliance or Network Advertising Initiative.
  • EU and UK advertising opt-out. Your Online Choices.

7.4 Do Not Track (DNT)

Some browsers transmit a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. Industry standards for responding to DNT signals have not been finalized, and we do not currently respond to DNT signals. Our consent management tool and the Global Privacy Control (described below) provide functional alternatives for users who wish to opt out of non-essential cookies.

7.5 Global Privacy Control (GPC) and universal opt-out signals

We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) and similar universal opt-out signals where required by applicable law. If your browser transmits a GPC signal, we treat it as an opt-out from the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under the CCPA/CPRA, and as an opt-out from targeted advertising under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act and other U.S. state privacy laws that recognize universal opt-out mechanisms. In practical terms, we will not load marketing or advertising cookies that constitute sharing or targeted advertising when a GPC signal is detected.

8. Third-party cookies and responsibility

Third-party cookies set on our site are governed by the respective third party's privacy and cookie policies. We do not control third-party cookies beyond enabling or disabling them in our tag management configuration. We periodically review our third-party cookie vendors to confirm ongoing compliance and proportionality.

We use a tag management system to control when and how third-party scripts are loaded, ensuring non-essential third-party scripts are only loaded after consent has been given.

9. Cookie retention and deletion

Cookies are stored for the periods specified in the tables above. Session cookies are deleted automatically when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain on your device until they expire or you delete them. You can delete all cookies stored by our website at any time via your browser settings or our consent tool.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in the cookies we use, changes in applicable law, or other operational reasons. When we make material changes, we will:

  • Update the “Last updated” date and version number at the top of this page.
  • Re-display the cookie consent banner to obtain fresh consent where required by law.
  • Notify registered users of significant changes by email where required.

  • DPO inquiries: dpo@takumi44.com
  • Web form: Contact page on our website

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority, for example the ICO (UK), your EU Member State data protection authority, the OPC (Canada), or the ANPD (Brazil).
